Three Things for Canada
Start date: 1 January, 2017
End date: 31 December, 2017
3 Things for Canada is an initiative of the Mayor’s Civic Engagement Committee, inspired by Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi. This volunteer committee is encouraging citizens to get involved in their community, in a manner that is meaningful to them, that will result in a more engaged society. In celebration of Canada’s 150 anniversary celebrations, we are asking every Canadian to do three acts of service for their neighbourhood, their nation, and the world. In doing so, we can create over 100 million acts of community building. We know that the power to make extraordinary change lies with everyday people doing everyday things. We look forward to you sharing your 3 Things for Canada using Facebook.com/ThreeThingsForCanada. Nature of the Project Reach
www.threethingsforcanada.ca and www.troisgestes.ca is a simple concept that asks each and every Canadian to do three acts of service for their community- as their gift to Canada for Canada's 150th birthday- three gifts in fact. They can be big things or small things, but the goal is to create a habit of service, and in doing so, we can change our neighbourhoods, the nation and the world.
To inspire 100 million acts of service, and create a habit of service amongst Canadians.
