Lanark Community Dinners
Start date: 19 January, 2017
End date: 21 December, 2017
The North Lanark Community Health Centre - a part of Lanark Renfrew Health & Community Services is hosting this funding on behalf of the "Lanark Highlands Plan B Citizens Group" for their community dinner program. "Plan B" is a small unincorporated citizens group whose main purpose is to build a caring, inclusive and supportive community; to reduce barriers where all community members can meet to socialize, network and support each other; and to provide practical supports for those members of the community who are more vulnerable because of financial, physical, mental or intellectual difficulties.
Nature of the Project Reach
Participants come primarily from the rural Townships of Lanark Highlands, Tay Valley, and Drummond/North Elmsley.
The community Dinner program goals are to provide a nutritious, hot meal at no cost to participants in a positive, inclusive, multi-generational, supportive, enjoyable, accessible and welcoming environment. The Community Dinners also engage individuals and organizations in contributing to the creation of a healthy and inclusive community through volunteer, goodwill and in-kind contributions.
Anybody in Lanark County who would like to contribute and/or volunteer is welcome
