Diversity in Movement: 'Building Bridges through Dance'
Start date: 21 July, 2017
End date: 28 July, 2017
Our Diversity in Movement series will be a cultural awareness celebration that 'builds bridges through dance'. Nova Scotians from all ages and backgrounds are invited to come learn different dances from the many cultures that represent the beauty of Canada. From Celtic, to Belly dance, Capoeira, Latin and much more...come to learn, experience, expand your mind and move your body!
This series will provide multiple opportunities to diverse groups to learn dances and the cultural heritage behind it in order to create an environment of tolerance, acceptance, cultural awareness and communal celebration of our 150th year.
Nature of the Project Reach
The Diversity in Movement series aims to build stronger relationships between the multiple cultures and communities within Atlantic Canada through the experience of dance.
Showcase the cultural make-up of Atlantic Canada by creating a safe, open and fun multi-generational experience for all. Dance is an equalizer that has the potential to build bridges between generations and cultures.
