Members of the David Thompson Voyageur Brigade Society and have canoed many of David Thompson’s survey routes. Who's objective is to paddle rivers of historical significance from British Columbia to Quebec and arrive in Ottawa for the 150th birthday celebration on July 1st.
The trip begins on June 1st at Fort St. James, B.C. and will consist of paddling 16 fur trade rivers through B.C., Ab., Sask., Man., Ont., and Que. to arrive in Ottawa on Canada Day, 2017.
The members of the Brigade will offer an opportunity for your family to have a ride in the Voyageur Canoe. Later the members will retire to the Petawawa Heritage Village for a rest before pressing on to Ottawa.
Nature of the Project Reach
