Confederation 1867 Through Trades and Skills
Start date: 11 August, 2017
End date: 13 August, 2017
Our Heritage Village is very unique, located on 3.5 acres of land in the Heart of Petawawa with 12 heritage buildings and an aboriginal camp. Join us in a 3-day event as we celebrate the joining of Upper Canda in the New Dominion of Canada 1867. Trappers, voyageurs, logger, knife and hawk throw long bow, chainsaw carving, and squaring timber and much more will descend on Petawawa as we host a spectacular event. We will also be offering lots of exciting things for the children with animal petting and feeding, face painting, games, miniature bunnies with Madeline. Music is also part of our event and you will have the opportunity to hear Celtic and log driving song by Gillan Rutz, the coral song from the Military Wives Choir and some old country music.
Food will be available on site, Vendors, and artisans.
Nature of the Project Reach
We want all of Ontario to come to Petawawa and discover what a beautiful community we have located on the Petawawa River and the Heritage designated Ottawa River.
Help us celebrate Celebrate Canada's 150th anniversary as Upper Canda becomes part of the New Dominion of Canada.
