• Memorable Canadian moments/Understanding 150 – Throughout 2017, interactive programs and collection items will be used to reflect unique, memorable moments from Canada’s history. Programs will be designed to encourage family interaction. The Children's Museum will also provide context for what “150” looks like through visual displays of “150 items”.
• Time Capsule - A time capsule representing what children value in 2017 will be created. The time capsule will be displayed in the new Children's Museum location as a lasting reminder of the Canada 150 celebrations.
Nature of the Project Reach
Children and families throughout southwestern Ontario
Through “Celebrate Kids!” the Children’s Museum will bring Canadians together through interactive activities targeted at children and their families. Children (aged 0-12 years) will be taught about Canada’s past achievements and represent children in 2017 for the children of the future. The Children's Museum’s goal is to provide children with opportunities to celebrate our country, while also lending their voice to the celebrations.
