Celebrate half-a-century plus presence of South Asian India Bharati community in Windsor-Essex region

South Asian community is a very diverse community (DESI) but there are some common elements that all desis share. The numbers of DESI communities have increased dramatically in the last 60 years in some regions of the country where they have become near-majorities but not so much in Windsor-Essex (WE) regions. We will recognise the presence of south Asian community by holding seminars, lectures, dinners and cultural events throughout the year to celebrate the 150th year of Canada.

2. to promote south Asian (DESI) culture
3. to build harmonious relations with all segments of Canadian society that subscribe to multicultural principles
